I recently went back to Harbin once it reopened after being closed (burned down) from the Valley fire. Harbin was in a beautiful lush valley. Now it is recovering, still a bare, fire scorched valley but recovering. They still has a lot of rebuilding going on in order to restore themselves back to their full functioning facility. The pools, sauna, massage center are up and functioning. They have part of their cafe running but out of a small bungalow like building. The food is great because they still have their old chef there. Need a massage? Definitely recommend seeing their massage center. Their massage practitioners are amazing and so worth it. I recommend making an appointment for the midday so you can soak in the hot springs for a bit before your appointment. Then go soak right after. They offer so many different treatments and classes there. You will definitely find your zen with yoga, watsu, meditation, etc. Note this is a clothing optional place, so don't be surprised while you are there. They don't allow cell phones past a certain point for privacy reasons. Which allows you to unplug and really enjoy the relaxing experience. Harbin does offer places to stay there. There are really nice cottages and small caravans to rent. Both are really nice. Best to plan ahead if you want to stay up there overnight. The Domes and Camping are still not available. Even though they are still rebuilding, I still recommend going. If you do stay the night, the view of the night sky is just breath-taking. Also remember what season you go and plan for the weather. The hot springs will rejuvenate you. Let their magical waters heal your mind, body and soul. Go check out Harbin's website for more details of their services.
